Solvay Website Video Shoot

October 31, 2008 by indigostudios

Working with our friends at Tribal DDB, Indigo Studios directed, cast, produced and did all the post for the new Androgel “Is it Low T” website.

Each vignetter was shot on green screen with the RED camera. Indigo then edited, pulled mattes, and scaled the footage, At the same time we shot all the print images for the campaign. We handed off all the content to Tribal and they did they’re thing.

It was an extremely fun project to work on and the end product came out fantastic. To view the finished site go to: www.isitlowT.com

Indigo Studios blows away Discovery Channel with the new Storm Chasers Campaign!!

Indigo Studios blows away Discovery Channel with the new Storm Chasers Campaign!!

We’re not in Kansas anymore… we’re in Lawton, Oklahoma!

Our buddies at the Discovery channel have come through again with another exciting project for Stormchasers.

We got the call on a Tues and were asked if we could build the TIV (tornado intercept vehicle) in 3d and create a scene of impending disaster with tornado’s. The only catch was we only had a week to do it.

The problem solving began and not having enough time to build and render this CGI we came to the conclusion that we would just shoot this vehicle and then we could get right to work. The AD tracked the TIV down in Lawton OK and the next day we were on a plane. We shot all day Saturday riding around in this monster that looked like something out of Mad Max.

On Monday we were back in the studio to work our magic on the images. Photography, CGI tornado’s, debris, and a lot of compositing went into the recipe to make this image sing. In the end we came out of this with a fantastic dramatic image that everyone was proud of.

Don’t forget to watch the show starting Oct 19th airing on Sundays at 10pm.

Caterpillar chooses Indigo for there CGI!!

July 9, 2008 by indigostudios

BIG trucks, BIG excavators and BIG images take CAT into the CGI world. We used CAD data provided from CAT and created photo real images of their vehicles!

This is an ongoing series of images leveraging the assets CAT already has. Conversion of the CAD data was handled by Indigo and then the subsequent models were dropped into environments, lit, surfaced and rendered. Working this way allows CAT to put their vehicles (which are very difficult to move) into any environment, position, lighting, and look/feel that they desire.

Indigo wraps up the MYTHBUSTERS shoot for Discovery Channel

June 24, 2008 by indigostudios

We had the great opportunity to work with the fine folks at the Discovery Channel again. This time it didn’t include sharks and water, but instead an old nasty, dingy commercial refrigerator with decapitated human heads. OK, so we digitally manipulated the heads, but still, how fun was this project. With everyone in the studio being a fan of MYTHBUSTERS, this photo shoot was loads of fun.

Jamie and Adam are busting another far fetched myth this coming season and we are very happy to be apart of another great Discovery Channel promotion.

I managed to get some behind the scenes shots for this shoot, make sure to scroll all the way down and check out the Indigo Crew at work.

Indigo Studios and the Deadlines of Doom

June 9, 2008 by indigostudios

Recent work for the new Indiana Jones movie inspired us to create our own version starring the team here at Indigo.

Saying this was fun is an enormous understatement. Everyone had a blast dressing up, getting into character, and working it for the camera. As you can see, we have some Hollywood potentials here. Especially Cooley who should be working as a stunt double for Sean Connery when he’s not doing storyboards and comps. And of course while creating this we found ourselves taking a few liberties with some Indiana Jones movie lines:

“Revisions….why does there always have to be revisions?”

Get out and see the movie this weekend and visit us at www.indigostudios.com to see all the services we have to offer.
